Just ask any of the unsuspecting, yet entirely enthusiastic, dancers featured in the NIU Alumni Association's #HappyNIU music video. For them, finals week 2014 was an opportunity to show just how happy they are to be part of the Huskie family. Participants took a break from their studies, experiments, papers, and practice sessions in order to ham it up for the camera to the tune of Pharrell Williams' No. 1 billboard hit "Happy." The video features NIU Foundation scholarship recipients, two deans, a presidential teaching professor, more than 60 students representing disciplines across campus, and a certain playful Huskie pup. #HAPPYNIU was produced to celebrate the NIU community, including the alumni and donors who support the university, its future, and the students it serves. It kicks off a full summer lineup of NIUAA events planned to inspire and engage alumni and their families. https://hml.niu.edu/Play/74 Thu, 05 Jun 2014 15:06:20 GMT https://hml.niu.edu/Play/74
